December 2017

Ho, Ho, Ho!!  Merry Christmas!  Here we are in December already, and if you are like me, you are struggling to get all of your shopping completed and tasks done before the holidays.  Right after Thanksgiving, Christmas music was playing on the stereo and the mood had already changed from fall to winter.  Snow was on my mind along with decorating and festivities associated with the year end.  I’m not certain we will get as much snow this year as we already have gotten, but I am hopeful that there will be some cold for the ice fishing season!

In the school realm, December is a busy time of year. We have three 1:00 releases scheduled, the 8th,13th, and the 21st, so please make appropriate arrangements for your students.  Also, we will be MAP testing beginning with reading on December 6th and 7th and finishing up the following week with Math and make up testing.  Please ensure that your kiddos get the rest they need and a hearty breakfast before these days.

Thank you all for your support this year and have a wonderful holiday season!  I will write again in 2018!

I’ll leave you with a quote from Calvin Coolidge that fits the month of December: “Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind.  To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas.”
