January 2018

Whew!!  We made though the holiday season.  This year was just as busy as usual.  While I was in Walmart in Butte the week before Christmas, I began wondering why we put ourselves through the headaches of shopping.  I am sure you have all thought about this as well, and some of you may be like me and could definitely do without the hustle and bustle, but yet again I was in Walmart the week before Christmas!  So I guess it was self-created to a point.  I should try and get my shopping done prior to December.

It seems as though time flies as I get older and at times I find myself longing for it to slow down.  In observing some of the classrooms I see this concept happening in education as well.  I witness elementary students performing some of the skills that I gained in middle school.  The students in today’s age must have more of a knowledge base than we ever did in elementary.  This base will bring with it success in their educational careers and life in general.

January is a long month of trying to slow down after the holidays, but I encourage you to make the most of it and create your own knowledge in every task you attempt to accomplish.  Be precise in what you want to get done and carry this precision on throughout the entire year.  Get organized and grab life by the horns. Don’t let time fly by so fast and enjoy your time with your friends and family cherishing those moments.
